OUR STORY
We built a place that we couldn’t find.
After too many bad boarding experiences with their own dogs, Mark and Sam Mason decided to build something better. Country Pup Kennel is the result — a facility designed from the ground up around what dogs actually need and what owners actually worry about.

It started with our own dogs
Mark and Sam Mason didn’t set out to open a kennel. They set out to find somewhere they could genuinely trust with their dogs. After too many experiences that fell short — facilities that felt clinical, staff that felt indifferent, overnight care that left them anxious the whole trip — they decided to build what didn’t exist.
Country Pup Kennel opened in Princeton, MN with one standard: if they wouldn’t leave their own dogs there, they wouldn’t ask anyone else to either. That standard shapes every decision made at this facility — the staffing, the cleaning products, the overnight protocols, the vet clinic partnership, all of it.
Mark and Sam are hands on. Clients notice. Reviews mention them by name.

We built this place because we couldn’t find anywhere we’d truly trust with our own dogs.

THE FACILITY
Built for dogs. Designed for peace of mind.
CPK’s facility wasn’t converted or repurposed. It was designed and built specifically for dog care — with every detail thought through before the first dog ever walked through the door.

THE TEAM
The people your dog will actually spend time with.
CPK is staffed by veterinary technicians, veterinary students, and passionate animal lovers who chose this work because they genuinely love dogs. Our team is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The overnight staff isn’t just on call — they’re actively present and monitoring every kennel, every space, all night long.

Vet techs, vet students, and animal lovers — every one of them here because they want to be.

Featured on Twin Cities Live
CPK has been featured on Twin Cities Live — Minnesota’s most watched daytime show. When a facility gets that kind of attention in year one, it means something. It means people are noticing that something genuinely different is happening in Princeton.
