What is Board & Train?

Training that happens while your dog stays with us

Board & Train is dog training where your dog lives at Country Pup Kennel for the program and works with our trainer, Sarah Bostock, every day. Instead of fitting practice in around work and family, the daily repetition happens here, with a professional, while you’re at home.

Between training sessions, your dog boards with us like any other guest: their own suite, daycare play with matched groups, and staff awake all night. Sarah sends photos and updates during the stay. When your dog comes home, you get a written summary of everything that was worked on, with tips to keep it going.

It’s a popular choice for Ramsey families who are short on time, have a new puppy to start off right, or want focused help with a specific problem.

A good fit if…

You’re busy and want the work done for you. You have a puppy and want a strong start. Your dog needs focused help with manners, leash skills or a behavior problem. You’re traveling anyway and want the time to count.

Board & Train vs. group classes

In a class, you train your dog once a week with Sarah coaching you. In Board & Train, Sarah trains your dog every day and you get the plan to keep it up at home. Many families do both. See group classes

Not sure which one?

Start with an assessment. Sarah meets your dog, hears your goals and tells you honestly whether Board & Train, classes or private sessions make the most sense.
