WHY BOARD & TRAIN WORKS

If you’re stuck, overwhelmed, or just out of options — this is where we step in.

Most training issues aren’t about a stubborn dog. They’re about inconsistency. When a dog works daily with clear expectations and real follow-through, learning accelerates. Behaviors become habits instead of occasional responses.

Board & Train gives your dog exactly that — a focused environment with multiple intentional training sessions every day. We build clarity first. Then accountability. Then reliability. Once the foundation is solid, we bring you in and show you exactly how to maintain it at home so you’re not guessing.

This is not a quick fix. It is a reset and a foundation.

YOUR DOG TRAINS WITH

Most Board & Train programs have a trainer. This one has Sarah.

Sarah Bostock doesn’t just oversee your dog’s program — she works with them directly. Every session is intentional. Every decision is based on what your specific dog needs, not a generic curriculum.

Sarah’s background isn’t just obedience. It’s behavior — how dogs think, how they process pressure, what drives their decisions. That depth is why Board & Train at CPK produces results that hold.

BS Biology & Psychology, UCF — focused on animal behavior

Wolf educator under Dr. David Mech, one of the world’s leading wolf biologists

Why It Works
Why dogs make real progress here.
Consistency creates progress.

Most training issues are about inconsistency, not stubbornness. When a dog works daily with clear expectations and follow-through, learning speeds up. Behaviors become habits. Multiple sessions every day means we build understanding quickly and cleanly.

Structure builds stability.

A lot of unwanted behavior comes from over-arousal, unclear boundaries, or too much freedom without guidance. During Board & Train your dog gets structured work, mental engagement, physical exercise, rest, and controlled real-world exposure. That balance creates stability — not just temporary compliance.

Training that fits your dog.

Not every dog needs the same approach. Some need firmer boundaries. Some need confidence built correctly. Some are reactive and don’t know how to handle pressure. We look at temperament, thresholds, stress levels, and motivation — then we build a plan that fits that specific dog.

Programs
Three programs. One right fit for your dog.

An assessment with Sarah is required before booking any Board & Train program. It’s how we make sure we build the right program for your dog — not just the most convenient one.

Board & Train
Puppy Board & Train

For puppies ready for structured learning. We focus on building habits that prevent problems instead of fixing them later. Potty training, name recognition, sit, down, stay, leave it, recall, leash manners, socialization, and environmental exposure. More importantly, we build confidence and resilience. A puppy who understands the world is far easier to live with than one who is constantly overwhelmed.

Best for: Puppies ready to start on the right foot
Board & Train
Basic Obedience Board & Train

For dogs who need structure and follow-through. Sit, down, stay, heel, recall, leave it, off for jumping, impulse control, and real-world manners. The goal isn’t robotic obedience — it’s reliability. Your dog should be able to do what’s expected outside of your living room, around distractions, in real life.

Best for: Dogs of any age who need a solid foundation or reset
Board & Train
Reactivity Board & Train

For dogs dealing with reactivity, mild to moderate anxiety, stranger sensitivity, or over-arousal. We work on raising thresholds, building neutrality around triggers, and strengthening communication so your dog feels more secure and less reactive. We’re not suppressing behavior — we’re changing how the dog processes the situation.

Best for: Reactive, anxious, or over-aroused dogs
